Job summary

Coderio designs and delivers scalable digital solutions with a product mindset, partnering with global clients. A Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and optimize data platforms handling financial data using Python, SQL, Spark, and AWS.

The role requires residency in Argentina, Brazil, or Uruguay and collaboration with an international team. The candidate will mentor juniors, drive DataOps practices, and ensure data governance and security across data stores and pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering, Big Data, or related roles.
• Strong Python and SQL for data processing and software development.
• Experience with production-grade data systems in fast-paced environments.
• Hands-on with Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and lakehouse architectures.
• Expertise in AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda).
• Experience with data orchestration and warehousing tech (Airflow, Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• Experience designing real-time streaming architectures (Kafka/Kinesis).
• Knowledge of DevOps/DataOps (Git, Docker, CI/CD, IaC).
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-throughput data pipelines for financial data.
• Scale cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures for large datasets.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Engineers, and PMs to translate needs into data solutions.
• Implement data quality, testing, monitoring, and alerting for data integrity.
• Promote DataOps, CI/CD, and IaC for data systems.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and security standards (GDPR/LGPD).
• Mentor junior and mid-level Data Engineers.
