AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to replace a third-party data tool with an owned ETL pipeline. You will design, build, and own ingestion from Amazon API and DSP sources, align outputs with dashboards, and work within AWS to support analytics-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with data science and engineering teams, evaluating Fivetran versus custom builds, and contributing beyond ETL to the broader platform needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SQL and large-scale data ingestion experience.
• Working knowledge of AWS data services (RDS/Postgres, S3, ECS).
• Practical experience with Claude Code or similar tools.
• Contribute to application and backend work beyond ETL.
• Familiarity with managed ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran).
• Ramp into attribution and scoring logic for dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Document current ingestion logic in the legacy tool.
• Build ETL pipeline to replace legacy system across DSP data sources.
• Evaluate between off-the-shelf vs owned ETL with Infra Lead.
• Design a standalone owned pipeline powering client dashboards.
• Provide AWS environment support for app/backend work.
• Coordinate with data science teams to align with models.
• Work within the existing AWS stack (ECS, S3, RDS).
