AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to replace a third-party ingestion tool with a custom ETL pipeline in an existing AWS environment. The role focuses on strong SQL skills and DSP data experience to support dashboards and downstream models.

You will evaluate build-vs-buy options like Fivetran and collaborate with data science teams, contributing beyond ETL to backend tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SQL and large-scale data ingestion/pipeline experience (batch ETL, orchestration, schema design).
• Direct or adjacent experience with digital advertising/DSP data.
• Experience with AWS data services (RDS/Postgres, S3, ECS).
• Ability to contribute to application/backend work beyond ETL.
• Familiarity with evaluating ELT tools like Fivetran.

Responsibilities

• Document ingestion logic inside the legacy TapClicks tool, including sources and schemas.
• Build an ETL pipeline to replace the legacy system for various DSP data sources.
• Evaluate off-the-shelf vs custom ELT solutions with Infrastructure Lead.
• Design a standalone pipeline to power client dashboards.
• Provide engineering support in AWS for application/backend work.
• Coordinate with data science teams to align ingestion with downstream models.
• Operate within the existing AWS environment (ECS, S3, RDS).
