Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to replace a third-party data ingestion tool with an owned ETL pipeline. You will design and build scalable ingestion from the Amazon API and other DSP data sources, working inside the existing AWS environment.

You will collaborate with data science teams to align output with attribution and scoring logic, evaluate off-the-shelf solutions such as Fivetran, and contribute to backend work beyond ETL to support the broader platform.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SQL and large-scale data ingestion/pipeline experience (batch ETL, orchestration, schema design).
• Working knowledge of AWS data services (RDS/Postgres, S3, ECS) within an existing cloud environment.
• Practical experience with Claude Code or similar tools, and agents or MCP in real work.
• Ability to contribute to application and backend work beyond pure ETL to support broader platform needs.
• Familiarity with managed ELT tools (such as Fivetran) vs. custom builds.
• Ability to ramp into existing attribution and scoring logic for downstream dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Document current ingestion logic inside the legacy tool: sources, endpoints, schemas, transformations.
• Build the ETL pipeline to replace the legacy system, ingesting from Amazon API and other DSP data sources.
• Evaluate off-the-shelf solutions (e.g., Fivetran) vs. owned ETL systems with Infrastructure Lead.
• Design the pipeline as a standalone system to power client-facing dashboards.
• Provide flexible engineering support for app/backend work within AWS when directed.
• Coordinate with data science teams to align ingestion output with attribution and scoring logic.
• Work within the existing AWS environment (ECS, S3, RDS) rather than standing up parallel infra.
