Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the data pipelines for credit reporting. You will transform data with SQL and Python, validate outputs to furnish customer account information to credit bureaus, and partner across teams to resolve issues.

In a fast-growing fintech environment, you’ll build tests, monitoring, and automated alerts to ensure accurate reporting while collaborating with Customer Service, Compliance, and Engineering. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data or software engineering with production pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex joins and data reconciliation.
• Strong Python skills and ability to debug workflows.
• Experience with version control, automated testing, and monitoring.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring credit bureau furnishing operations and reconciliation.
• Build and maintain SQL transformations, Python scripts, and pipelines.
• Trace discrepancies from source to outputs and implement fixes.
• Investigate escalations, explain data issues, and support disputes.
• Develop automated tests, monitoring, and alerts for reporting quality.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Compliance to ensure correct reporting.
