Sezzle is seeking a Data Engineer II to own the data pipelines, transformations, and reporting processes that furnish customer account information to credit bureaus. The role requires 3+ years in data engineering or software engineering, strong SQL and Python skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of data engineering or software engineering with production data pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex joins and reconciliations.
• Strong Python skills for data transformations and debugging.
• Experience with version control, testing, monitoring, and safe data reprocessing.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring credit bureau furnishing operations and data pipelines.
• Build and debug SQL transformations and Python scripts.
• Trace discrepancies and implement root-cause fixes.
• Investigate escalations with Customer Service and Compliance.
• Identify affected accounts and verify corrected reporting.
• Develop automated tests, reconciliations, monitoring, and alerts.
• Collaborate with Engineering to validate fixes in production.
• Document reporting logic and data lineage for repeatability.
