AgileEngine is seeking a Mid-level Data Engineer to build and maintain dbt pipelines and Snowflake data marts powering customer-facing reporting and spend analytics. You’ll work on production data pipelines, AI features, and internal analytics while ensuring data quality and security.

You will implement data models, semantic layers, and FastAPI services, collaborating with product and engineering teams. Strong SQL, Python, and upper-intermediate English are required, with 3+ years in

Competenze

• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or closely related role with production pipelines.
• Solid dbt experience: modeling, tests, macros, and incremental models.
• Strong SQL and working Python.
• Data modeling fundamentals: dimensional modeling, data marts, grain and conformance.
• Experience with a modern cloud warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with ingestion tooling and orchestration (Airbyte, Prefect, or equivalents).
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools and guardrails around their output.
• Deep curiosity about the business and how customers use data.

Mansioni

• Build and maintain dbt pipelines, data marts, and warehouse models for reporting and analytics as production systems.
• Translate procurement business logic into maintainable, tested pipeline code and validate models.
• Build models within the data mart architecture and propose improvements.
• Contribute to and build the semantic layer queried by MCP servers and AI agents.
• Maintain the boundary between PII and reporting-safe data.
• Build and maintain FastAPI services exposing reporting marts to customers.
• Ingest data into the warehouse via Airbyte, OneSchema, and S3, supporting Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Implement data quality checks: freshness, schema tests, reconciliation, and alerting.
• Define metrics faithfully and note conflicts to the team.
• Keep documentation and lineage current for humans and AI.
• Tune Snowflake performance and cost within models.
• Share learnings through code reviews and team discussions.
• Communicate data meanings clearly with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
