Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Mid-level Data Engineer in Buenos Aires to build and maintain dbt pipelines and Snowflake data marts behind customer-facing reporting, spend analytics, and AI features.

You will handle ingestion using Airbyte or Prefect, ensure data quality, and contribute to an internal semantic layer and FastAPI services. The role requires 3+ years in analytics/data engineering, solid dbt experience, strong SQL and Python, and experience with Snowflake and ingestion/orchestration

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar on production pipelines.
• Solid dbt experience: modeling, tests, macros, and incremental models.
• Strong SQL and Python.
• Data modeling fundamentals: dimensional modeling, data marts, grain and conformance.
• Experience with a modern cloud warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with ingestion tooling and orchestration (Airbyte, Prefect, or equivalents).
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools and guardrails around their output.
• Curiosity about business data and how customers use it.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt pipelines, data marts, and warehouse models for reporting and analytics.
• Translate procurement logic into reliable pipeline code with tests.
• Develop semantic layer for MCP servers and AI agents.
• Maintain boundary between PII and reporting-safe data.
• Build and maintain FastAPI services exposing reporting marts.
• Create ingestion pipelines (Airbyte, OneSchema, S3) and support data onboarding.
• Implement data quality checks, freshness, schemas, and tests.
• Document and maintain data lineage for humans and AI agents.
