Job summary

Chevron is seeking a seasoned Chemical Engineer to design, manage and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies in the El Trapial Field, Argentina. The role requires 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree, with field-based duties and reporting.

This full-time position operates on a 7x7 rotational schedule based in El Trapial Field; the candidate will stay at the Chevron Camp during rotations and interact with O&M, labs and service providers to optimize reliability,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring, inspection, and implementation activities.
• Experience assessing and interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion control strategies.
• Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring and reporting.
• Provide technical assessment of chemical treatment monitoring data and recommend changes to analyses and programs.
• Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities to improve OE and cost performance.
• Follow up on contractor performance with field visits and interactions with O&M, Laboratory, and service providers.
• Lead OE execution in the field with emphasis on safety and HSE standards.
• Prepare forecasts and track operating costs related to chemical products in the field.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives focused on reliability and cost reduction.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.
