Job summary

Chevron seeks a Petroleum/Chemical/Industrial Engineer to design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies in the El Trapial Field, Neuquén, Argentina. This full-time role follows a 7x7 rotation with accommodation at the Chevron Camp.

The position requires at least 5 years in chemical treatment and corrosion control, English proficiency, and collaboration with O&M, labs, and service providers to improve OE, safety, and cost performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring, inspection, and implementation activities.
• Experience assessing and interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion control strategies.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Advanced level of English.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies.
• Provide technical assessment of chemical treatment monitoring data and recommend changes to corrosion control strategies.
• Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities in El Trapial Field to improve OE, production, reliability, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Follow up on contractor performance through field visits and interaction with O&M, Laboratory, and service provider personnel.
• Lead OE execution in the field with a strong focus on safety and HSE standards.
• Prepare forecasts and track operating costs and facility improvements related to chemical products in the field.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives focused on reliability, integrity, operational efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.
