Job summary

Chevron seeks a Chemical Specialist to develop and optimize chemical treatment and corrosion control programs supporting safe, reliable operations at the El Trapial Field in Argentina. You will collaborate with operations, laboratories, and service providers to improve performance and reduce costs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering and at least 5 years of experience, with intermediate English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies.
• Experience interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion control.
• English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies.
• Provide technical assessment of monitoring data and update analyses.
• Act as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities in El Trapial Field.
• Monitor contractor performance and coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and labs.
• Lead OE execution in the field with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Forecast operating costs and track facility improvements related to chemical products.
• Propose long-term optimization initiatives to improve reliability and reduce costs.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.
