Chevron is seeking a field-based engineer in Argentina to design and manage chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies at El Trapial Field. The role requires delivering monitoring, reporting, and optimization to improve OE, reliability, and cost performance.

The candidate will work 7x7 on rotation, staying at the Chevron Camp during rotations, and coordinate with O&M, Laboratory, and service providers to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring, inspection, and implementation activities.
• Experience assessing and interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion control strategies.
• Intermediate level of English.

Responsabilités

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring, inspection, and reporting.
• Provide technical assessment and interpretation of monitoring data and propose changes to corrosion control programs using industry standards.
• Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities to improve OE, production, reliability, and cost performance.
• Coordinate with Operations, Laboratory, and service providers; oversee contractor performance through field visits.
• Lead OE execution in the field with strong emphasis on safety and compliance with process safety and HSE standards.
• Forecast and track operating costs and facility improvements related to chemical products handling in the field.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce total costs.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.
