Job summary

Bluelight is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to operate and enhance the cloud infrastructure behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare context. You will own day-to-day operations, improve reliability, and guide incident response within a LatAm coverage window.

You will work with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Argo Workflows, and Terraform to automate, monitor, and improve CI/CD and release processes, while collaborating with Data Engineering, Security, and Analytics teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
• Strong AWS production experience.
• Advanced Kubernetes/EKS expertise.
• Argo Workflows administration.
• Terraform IaC; CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring/alerting with Splunk/PagerDuty/Opsgenie.
• Lead incident resolution and RCAs.
• Python/Shell scripting.
• English communication and collaboration.
• LatAm-friendly on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Cloud/DevOps service tower during LatAm window.
• Maintain and improve AWS infrastructure (EKS, S3, EventBridge, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Administer Kubernetes workloads and Argo Workflows (deployment, monitoring, recovery).
• Define and improve IaC, configuration management, CI/CD, and release practices (Terraform).
• Improve observability and alerting across infra and data workloads.
• Lead major incidents and post-incident reviews with stakeholders.
• Design reliability improvements including auto-remediation and automation.
• Track service metrics: availability, SLA, alert volumes, deployment outcomes.
• Adhere to HIPAA/GDPR-auditing, access control, and change-management practices.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with Data Eng, Security, Governance, Analytics.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical incidents.
