Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to operate and improve cloud infrastructure for an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. This role requires leading incident resolution, IaC standards, and strong collaboration with Data Engineering, Security, and Analytics teams. Remote LATAM work window is supported.

You will manage AWS/EKS, Argo Workflows, and CI/CD pipelines while driving reliability, observability, and on-call readiness across a distributed team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS infrastructure in production.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including workload operations, troubleshooting, access, observability, capacity, and reliability.
• Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Argo Workflows or comparable workflow orchestration platforms.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform.
• Experience building, hardening, and supporting CI/CD pipelines and production release processes.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, incident routing tools such as Splunk, PagerDuty, Opsgenie.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; LatAm hours 9-6 ET.
• Mentoring engineers and collaborating with Data Eng, Security, Governance, Analytics, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to make well‑reasoned technical decisions and drive improvements across a complex platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Cloud / DevOps service tower during the LatAm coverage window.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure supporting the Data Platform.
• Administer Kubernetes-hosted workloads and Argo Workflows, including deployment and recovery.
• Define and improve standards for IaC, configuration management, CI/CD, release execution, and environment consistency.
• Lead the consolidation and improvement of observability across infrastructure and data workloads.
• Improve alert routing and escalation workflows across monitoring tools.
• Lead or support major incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Design and implement reliability improvements and automation of repetitive tasks.
• Track service metrics including availability, SLA compliance, and deployment outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and promote consistent execution across the team.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents.
