Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Business Analyst with a strong track record in digital transformation, specializing in eCommerce and CMS. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive business growth, gather requirements, map processes, and translate them into actionable specifications for successful delivery.

The role emphasizes Agile/Scrum practices, stakeholder collaboration, and ongoing optimization of digital workflows and customer journeys across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, CS or related field.
• 3+ years as a BA focused on digital transformation.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms (SAP Commerce, Magento, Shopify, CommerceTools).
• CMS familiarity (Contentful, Contentstack, WordPress).
• Proven experience leading requirements gathering for complex systems and creating actionable specs.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements for digital transformation projects, focusing on eCommerce or CMS solutions.
• Engage stakeholders across internal teams, clients and vendors to translate objectives into functional and technical specifications.
• Perform in-depth process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design to improve digital workflows and customer journeys.
• Ensure alignment between business goals and technology by collaborating with architects, developers, UX designers, PMs, and product owners.
• Develop user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for Agile/Scrum projects.
• Shape and contribute to the roadmap for digital transformation initiatives with focus on scalability and UX.
• Conduct risk assessments and clearly communicate potential impacts of changes.
• Run workshops, presentations, and meetings to gather input and track progress.
• Support testing efforts with UAT and QA to ensure requirements are met.

We are on the hunt for a highly capable Senior Business Analyst with a robust track record in digital transformation projects, with a specific focus on eCommerce and Content Management Systems (CMS). This position requires working in tandem with cross-functional teams to deliver projects with real impact that drive business expansion and digital innovation. The ideal candidate will show a proven ability to gather and interpret business requirements, develop solutions, and secure project success amid dynamic, shifting conditions.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on analyzing and documenting business requirements for digital transformation projects, with particular focus on eCommerce platforms or CMS solutions
• Connect with vital stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors, to grasp business objectives and turn them into functional and technical specifications
• Carry out in-depth process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design to enhance digital workflows, customer journeys, and business operations
• Ensure ongoing alignment between business objectives and technology solutions through close collaboration with Solution Architects, developers, UX designers, project managers, and product owners
• Evaluate and document current systems, processes, and data flows to uncover opportunities for improvement or automation
• Direct the development of user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for projects operating in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Contribute to and shape the roadmap for digital transformation initiatives, keeping scalability, performance, and user experience at the forefront
• Conduct risk assessments and clearly relay the potential impact of changes to stakeholders
• Run workshops, presentations, and meetings to gather input, align on project goals, and deliver ongoing progress reports
• Support testing efforts, confirming that business requirements are satisfied through comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree seen as an added benefit)
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Business Analyst with a focus on digital transformation projects
• Extensive experience with eCommerce platforms, such as SAP Commerce, Magento, Shopify, or CommerceTools
• Familiarity with CMS tools, including Contentful, Contentstack, WordPress, or similar platforms
• Proven experience leading requirements gathering for complex systems and generating clear, actionable specifications
• Strong knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies, backed by hands-on experience in an Agile project environment
• Solid data analysis skills, with the ability to transform data into insights that inform business decisions
• Skilled in business process modeling, BPMN, and workflow diagramming
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience with digital collaboration and project management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
• Strong problem-solving skills paired with the ability to succeed in fast-paced environments
• Good English proficiency (B2 level or higher), with experience in direct communication with customers
