GlobalLogic is seeking a Senior Backend Java Software Engineer with AWS experience and Advanced English for our Argentina-based team in Buenos Aires. The role combines design and implementation of robust Java backend services, cloud deployments, and data persistence using MySQL and JPA.

Responsabilidades

• End-to-end development of backend services using Java and Spring Boot 3.
• Architect and optimize database schemas using MySQL and JPA/CrudRepository.
• Build secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Deploy and manage applications in AWS, following best cloud practices.
• Take ownership of features from discovery to deployment, fixing debt and bugs.
• Promote clean code, performance tuning, and comprehensive unit testing.
• Mentor peers and participate in code reviews to maintain engineering standards.

Hybrid work model: candidates are expected to work on-site two days per week from our offices in Buenos Aires (Nuñez/Vicente Lopez)

Experience:

• +10 years in Professional Software Development.
• Core Java: Expert-level Java 25.
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA.
• APIs: RESTful API Design & Development.
• Database: MySQL, CrudRepository, SQL optimization.
• Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, or similar core services).
• Autonomy: Proven ability to lead medium-complexity developments without constant supervision.

Nice To have:

• Tools: Gradle or Maven for build automation.
• Testing: JUnit 5, Mockito, or Testcontainers.
• DevOps: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Jenkins).
• Architecture: Knowledge of Microservices architecture and Design Patterns.
• Agile: Experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments.
