Job summary

Bechtel seeks an experienced environmental permits specialist in Argentina to manage permits, ensure design and construction comply with environmental regulations, and coordinate with engineering and regulatory teams.

You will translate requirements into actionable design criteria, monitor progress, and lead the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports and updates for provincial and national authorities. Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in environmental management and permits, mining/energy/infrastructure in Argentina.
• Graduate degree in environmental management, environmental impact assessment or environmental law desirable.
• Native Spanish with intermediate or higher technical English; ability to read international standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage obtaining, maintenance and monitoring of environmental and sectoral permits.
• Translate requirements into verifiable design criteria and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain environmental constraints in project design and construction planning.
• Prepare and submit Environmental Impact Report and updates to authorities.
• Provide technical supervision of environmental consultants and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
