Job summary

Bechtel in Argentina seeks a seasoned Environmental Permits Manager to oversee permit acquisition, maintenance and monitoring for a mining/energy project. You will coordinate with engineering, regulatory authorities and project teams to ensure compliance with national and provincial requirements.

Responsibilities include managing the permits matrix, preparing environmental reports, and ensuring timely interactions with authorities.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree and ten years of work-related experience in substation and line construction.
• High Voltage experience in mining projects.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of local, state/provincial, and national statutes/guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work style.
• Ability to speak/read English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Manage obtaining, maintaining and monitoring environmental and sectoral permits in Argentina.
• Translate regulatory requirements into verifiable design criteria for construction teams.
• Maintain communication with authorities and project management for permit status.
• Oversee environmental studies and ensure compliance with environmental standards and client requirements.
• Support the project by coordinating with engineering disciplines to meet regulatory deadlines.
