Prometeo Talent is partnering with a fast-growing US-based cybersecurity startup on a Senior Backend Engineer role. You will thrive in startup environments and enjoy building scalable systems from the ground up.

You will design, build, and maintain distributed systems with Java and Python, leverage AI-assisted development tools, and own features end-to-end while collaborating with a highly technical team in a fully remote LATAM-friendly setup.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of software engineering or backend development.
• 5+ years of professional Python experience building production-grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based application development in production.
• Experience building AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Ownership mindset, autonomy, and ability to thrive in startup or fast-paced environments.
• Advanced English level.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems involving databases, APIs, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Take full ownership of features and services throughout their lifecycle, from design to monitoring.
• Build production-ready systems with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to key technical decisions.
• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
