Prometeo Talent is partnering with a fast-growing US-based cybersecurity startup to hire a Senior Backend Engineer who will design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems in Java and Python.

You will own features end-to-end, work on distributed architectures, and collaborate with a highly technical team. The role emphasizes AI-assisted development and strong ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or backend development.
• 5+ years of professional Python experience building production-grade systems.
• Strong experience with Java and backend development.
• Hands-on AI/LLM-based application development in production.
• Experience building AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows are highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems involving databases, APIs, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Take full ownership of features and services from design through monitoring and optimization.
• Build production-ready systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
