Formación

• Solid experience in backend development with Node.js/TypeScript and designing REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Proven hands-on experience in AWS Serverless architecture: Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and integration services (API Gateway, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, Kinesis, or Step Functions).
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL: data modeling, indexing, query performance, transactions, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience handling high-frequency time-series data: ingestion, time-window queries, aggregations, and retention policies.
• Strong proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows: PRs, code reviews, branching strategies, and CI/CD automation.
• Deep commitment to testing best practices (unit/integration), end-to-end observability, and security (OWASP, secrets management, authn/authz).
• Professional technical English level to write code, review PRs, and read documentation seamlessly.
• Strong technical leadership skills: ownership mindset, ability to mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions (ADRs), and elevate code quality standards.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement serverless APIs and microservices in Node.js/TypeScript on AWS Lambda integrated with API Gateway, ALB, or event triggers.
• Maintain and extend shared core packages (types, helpers, error codes) ensuring API contract integrity across frontend and mobile platforms.
• Implement resilience and reliability patterns: idempotency, exponential backoff retries, DLQ, deduplication, and Lambda concurrency control.
• Define and optimize event-driven IoT architectures for telemetry ingestion and manage time-series models in Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and hypertables.
• Set up end-to-end observability (structured logs, metrics, distributed tracing) and define actionable alerts with CloudWatch and OpenTelemetry.
• Enforce security best practices (least-privilege IAM, Secrets Manager, encryption) and maintain automated GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Take ownership of critical platform components, document architecture trade-offs (ADRs), mentor engineers, and drive continuous platform improvements.

In LATAM In the IoT & Industrial Domain, we are actively seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS Serverless. In this role, you will design, build, and operate critical backend services focused on high-frequency IoT telemetry processing, time-series data management, robust APIs, and production operability.

This is you

• Solid experience in backend development with Node.js/TypeScript and designing REST APIs and event-driven architectures.


• Proven hands-on experience in AWS Serverless architecture: Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and integration services (API Gateway, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, Kinesis, or Step Functions).


• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL: data modeling, indexing, query performance, transactions, and troubleshooting.


• Demonstrated experience handling high-frequency time-series data: ingestion, time-window queries, aggregations, and retention policies.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Eperience with AWS IoT Core (MQTT), Device Shadows, Rules Engine, and Greengrass edge devices.


• Experience operating TimescaleDB in production (hypertables, query optimization, cost management).


• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK) and serverless utility tooling like Lambda Powertools for TypeScript.


• Experience managing monorepos (Turborepo/NX with pnpm) and private npm packages using AWS CodeArtifact.


• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry/X-Ray, SRE practices (SLOs, error budgets), Docker/ECS, or industrial IoT/SCADA/MES contexts.
