Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend-focused software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in MongoDB on Atlas.
• Proficiency in Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• API development with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance systems on AWS.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Tackle lower-priority engineering work such as compliance, cost-savings, observability, and tooling improvements.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and validate solutions with data and experimentation.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Work with a Product Manager and fellow engineers on mid-level design, coding, testing, and documentation.
