Job summary

Bluelight is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design and maintain scalable, highly available production systems. You will drive infrastructure automation, CI/CD practices, and security-conscious deployments across multi-account AWS environments.

The role emphasizes Terraform-driven infrastructure, containerization with ECS, and data streaming tools like Kafka (MSK). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering for 24/7 production environments.
• Advanced AWS including ECS/Fargate, ALB/NLB, VPC, Route 53, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, SSM, and CloudTrail across multiple accounts.
• Terraform expertise with reusable modules, S3 remote state, version pinning, multi-environment deployments (Dev, QA, Integration, Prod).
• Docker, ECR image management, and ECS task definitions.
• Jenkins, Groovy, Jenkinsfiles, shared libraries, Java/Maven builds, and Shift-Left security.
• Kafka (MSK), Aerospike, EMR/EMR Serverless, Flink, Airflow, Athena, and S3 Tables.
• Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Slack, and SNS alerting.
• Python (boto3), Bash scripting, and AWS Lambda.
• Vulnerability management, least-privilege access, credential protection.
• Git, Pull Requests, Jira, Confluence, and AI-powered development tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision making.
