Clear Labs is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer in San Carlos, CA to own and advance the Hamilton STAR/STAR2 automation stack for NGS library prep. You’ll develop methods, troubleshoot hardware, and contribute to formal validation studies alongside a dedicated automation team.

You will drive hands-on bench work, script automated methods in regulated environments, and collaborate with Regulatory and Quality to ensure compliant, high-quality outcomes.

Formación

• 8+ years hands-on experience programming and developing methods on Hamilton STAR/STAR2 or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute hands-on reliability engineering, method development, and troubleshooting for Hamilton STAR/STAR2 liquid-handling automation.
• Design and execute formal automated-vs-manual equivalence and validation studies for NGS sample prep under regulatory requirements.
• Support root-cause investigations for automation performance affecting library quality and sequencing output.
• Collaborate with Regulatory and Quality on validation protocols and documentation for a regulated FDA-cleared workflow.
• Engage with vendors and equipment teams to support fleet performance.
