Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to support and maintain multiple reporting and analytics applications, including SAP BI WebI, Power BI, SSAS cubes, SAS rules, Workiva, and ARM. You will handle user access, issue resolution, and process improvements via ServiceNow.

Responsibilities include analyzing financial structures, applying SQL and logic to reports, and building automated reports with Power BI and Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information systems, finance, or related field.
Strong SQL knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Manage user access and resolve issues across reporting applications (WebI, Power BI, Cubes, Business Rules).
Process and resolve support requests via ServiceNow with accurate follow-up.
Collaborate with users to understand issues, investigate root causes, and provide practical resolutions.
Analyze financial data structures (Business Units, Accounts, Departments) including hierarchies.
Apply SQL and logical reasoning to understand report logic, data filtering, and performance optimization.
Use Excel, Power Query, and Power BI to connect data sources, build reports, and support automation.
Troubleshoot with an analytical mindset and adapt solutions beyond standard procedures.
Communicate requirements clearly and guide users, even when requests are not fully defined.
