Darwoft seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer in LATAM for AI-native, Claude-driven development. You will own production software from architecture to delivery, navigating a large codebase and integrating AI coding agents to accelerate velocity.

This is a remote, contractor role with USD payments and multi-timezone collaboration. You will build backend services, APIs, and data models while maintaining high standards for reliability, testing, and deployment.

• Strong architecture, design, debugging, testing
• Experience with large codebases
• Backend or full-stack experience with SaaS
• Experience building modern web apps and SaaS
• Understanding of APIs and distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase
• Design new product capabilities across a SaaS platform
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as product scales
• Identify debt, risks, and reliability issues
• Leverage AI coding agents throughout the lifecycle
• Build backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows
• Contribute across the stack when needed
• Improve testing, observability, and production readiness
• Improve tooling, automation, and engineering practices
• Troubleshoot cross-domain issues
• Work with product leadership to translate problems to solutions
• Help team gain velocity through AI-assisted engineering
