Job summary
Darwoft seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join a modern AI-native SaaS platform. You will build production software, navigate a large codebase, and drive architecture decisions with AI coding agents to accelerate delivery.
You’ll work remotely from LATAM, collaborating with product leadership to translate business needs into robust technical solutions and maintainability. This is a contractor role with full ownership.
Qualifications
- Strong production software experience.
- Solid fundamentals in architecture, system design, testing and maintainability.
- Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
- Backend or full‑stack skills for modern SaaS products.
- Understanding APIs, data modeling and distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
- Design and implement new capabilities across a SaaS platform.
- Make pragmatic architectural decisions for scale.
- Identify debt, risks, and reliability issues; improve systems.
- Use AI coding agents extensively in the development lifecycle.
- Build backend services, data models, APIs, and workflows.
- Collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems into technical solutions.
