Job summary

Darwoft is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to lead AI-native, production-grade software development in LATAM. You will work remotely, using Claude Code, Codex, and other AI agents to accelerate delivery while shaping architecture and reliability across a large SaaS platform.

This role emphasizes ownership, pragmatic decision-making, and strong engineering judgment in a fast-growing environment. The position is 100% remote, contractor-based, with USD payments and strong engineering

Qualifications

Production software systems on real production workloads.
Strong fundamentals: architecture, system design, debugging, testing, maintainability.
Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
Strong backend or full-stack experience with modern languages/frameworks.
Experience building modern web apps and SaaS products.
Understanding of APIs, architecture, integrations, data modeling, distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
Identify technical debt, risks, reliability issues, and improvements.
Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI coding agents extensively.
Leverage AI to explore codebases, design implementations, generate/refactor code, and accelerate delivery.
Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
Contribute across the stack and strengthen testing, observability, and production readiness.
