AgileEngine is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design agentic workflows and AI-powered products for enterprise customers in higher education. You will build reusable patterns for agent orchestration, tool use, context management, memory, and multi-agent collaboration.

Join a people-first team and lead end-to-end development, testing, and production deployment of agent-enabled software with a focus on reliability, security, and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a software product development environment.
• Strong proficiency with Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents, tool-using LLM apps, or orchestrated workflows.
• Experience with APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience building and operating production software systems.
• Experience with TypeScript and Python and RESTful APIs on AWS.
• Ability to design agentic workflows that scale.
• Strong communication and leadership across teams.
• Experience in enterprise SaaS or multi-tenant environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows that coordinate tools, services, data, and human approvals.
• Develop reusable patterns for agent orchestration and memory management.
• Use agentic coding tools across planning, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Integrate agents into development, testing, deployment, support, and operations.
• Establish standards for agent evaluation, observability, reliability, security, and governance.
• Prototype new agentic capabilities and turn experiments into production systems.
• Mentor engineers and help shape an agentic-first technical strategy.
