ON.energy is seeking a SCADA Engineer to own the core configuration of our Ignition-based SCADA platform across battery energy storage systems (BESS) and grid-connected assets.

You will manage tag structures, UDTs, and device connections, design MQTT communication, and develop tools to speed configuration, deployment, and validation. The role supports HMI and controls teams in a scalable, reliable SCADA environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5 years hands-on Ignition experience incl. tag configuration, UDT setup, device connections, and scripting.
• Experience with Vision or Perspective modules is a plus.
• Working knowledge of MQTT, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, or DNP3.
• Experience building or maintaining scripts/tools for SCADA configuration, deployment, or validation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across software and field hardware.
• Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Configure and maintain SCADA tags, UDTs, and device connections in Ignition.
• Design and maintain MQTT-based communication and broker configuration.
• Integrate SCADA with PLCs across BESS and grid assets using MQTT, Modbus, OPC UA, DNP3.
• Build tools to support HMI and controls teams for deployment and validation.
• Document SCADA standards, tag maps, and MQTT structures for long-term maintainability.
• Troubleshoot issues in development and production environments; support commissioning.
