Job summary

Wallbit (Yc W23) is seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. This role demands genuine technical accounting judgment and the ability to independently investigate and resolve issues.

You will handle escalated tickets, review reconciliations, assist with tax notices and payroll questions, and communicate findings clearly via Zendesk, email, and scheduled calls.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return review, and reconciliations.
• Experience with payroll and financial reporting in a customer-facing capacity.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized Level 2 support for US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax support tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations, and accounting transactions.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, filing status, and tax return questions within scope.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate technical findings via Zendesk, email responses, and scheduled phone support.
• Independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with internal specialists.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve workflows and knowledge resources.
