Job summary

RateHawk is seeking an experienced Level 2 Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to handle complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role demands strong technical accounting judgment, audit-ready documentation, and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Work from Argentina in a remote capacity, with coverage overlapping US business hours and ET time window. CPA/EA preferred and prior experience with tax notices, payroll software, and multilingual

Qualifications

• Experience in US accounting and taxation and related advisory support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to investigate and resolve complex tax and accounting inquiries.
• CPA/EA preferred; Big Four background desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated tax and accounting tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations, and transactions.
• Assist customers with tax notices and tax return questions.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and improve workflows and knowledge resources.
• Learn and work with proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.
