Job summary

Kake is a remote-first company building the pipeline behind immersive display experiences. We are hiring a Pipeline Developer to create Unreal Engine plugins, automate VFX workflows, and integrate Perforce into our tooling.

You will work with a global team on rendering pipelines from asset creation to final delivery, optimizing for 16k+ displays and cloud rendering, all in a fast-paced, independent remote setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Unreal Engine development experience, including plugin development.
• Experience optimizing rendering pipelines for large-format (16k+) displays.
• Experience integrating cloud rendering solutions into production pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Perforce version control and pipeline workflows.
• Experience with asset management systems and publishing pipeline support.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++ for scripting and automation.
• Strong understanding of VFX or game studio pipeline workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Unreal Engine plugins for rendering and pipeline workflows.
• Build automation and tooling that streamlines the VFX pipeline from asset creation to delivery.
• Implement and maintain Perforce pipeline integration across studio tools.
• Manage materials and assets through the studio's publishing and asset management systems.
• Integrate Unreal Engine workflows with proprietary encoding, playback, and cloud rendering systems.
