Oak is seeking an experienced Tech Lead for remote, long-term freelance collaboration. You will own the technical buildout across products, leading a small to mid-size engineering team and aligning with Product Manager and Design Lead to deliver performant front-end experiences.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, and continuously improve development processes. You’ll work with a diverse tech stack and contribute to AI-enabled initiatives, joining our AI Guild to explore

Formación

• Minimum 2+ years in a leadership role.
• 6+ years in engineering.
• 3+ years in building web applications using Node.js and React.
• Experience in architecting software (for projects from scratch is a plus).
• Experience in setting up and maintaining hosting infrastructure.
• Strong business acumen (experience in early-stage startups is a plus).
• Desire to learn new technologies and apply AI in your workflow.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for complex technical challenges.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Product Manager and Design Lead to align on goals and deliver a seamless frontend experience.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Create and maintain an environment where engineers are motivated and continuously improving.
• Own the technical delivery of projects, ensuring deadlines and client objectives are met.
• Select and update technologies to fit client needs and standards.
• Assist Product Manager in discovery refinement and backlog prioritization.
• Be a hands-on contributor, developing features with the team.
• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Oversee the overall software architecture and development process.
• Proactively seek ways to improve efficiency.
