Job summary

Veta Virtual Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support a high-growth fintech client focused on cryptocurrency. You will manage monthly rollforwards for digital assets, reconcile wallets, perform FMV calculations, and assist in month-end close and audit packs.

This role requires GAAP knowledge, 2+ years of accounting experience, and familiarity with crypto technologies. Remote work across LATAM or Europe is supported, with emphasis on accuracy and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of related accounting experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Working knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals is required.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Excel for reconciling, reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system is strongly preferred in fintech contexts.
• Excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail under time pressure.
• Strong written and verbal English communication with cross-functional teams.
• Bonus: passion for fintech and evolving cryptocurrency landscape.

• Must be based in LATAM or Europe.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining monthly rollforwards for digital assets across BTC, ETH, LTC, and others.
• Reconciling wallet balances to blockchain data and internal subledgers with precision.
• Performing fair market value calculations and remeasurements for digital asset holdings.
• Processing and accounting for crypto donations, rewards, and incentives; documenting hardware wallet activity.
• Posting journal entries for month-end close and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules; supporting reporting and audit packs.
• Developing spreadsheet reports and reconciling accounts for accuracy and process improvement.
• Analyzing current accounting policies and procedures and supporting SOP development.
