Job summary

Ryz Labs is partnering with a client to hire a Software Engineer for a fully remote role limited to Latin America. You will work across the web application to investigate behavior, fix issues, and implement improvements to reliability and usability.

This hands-on position emphasizes understanding complex systems, debugging production problems, and delivering practical, lasting solutions. The role requires 2–4 years of experience with TypeScript and React, plus SQL knowledge and strong English

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience developing and maintaining production web applications.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience debugging production or development issues.
• Ability to investigate problems using logs, error reports, and user feedback.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand existing codebases and make targeted improvements without regressions.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Comfortable collaborating asynchronously with a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve bugs across frontend, backend, and database.
• Reproduce unexpected behavior and identify root causes.
• Implement fixes and improvements using TypeScript and React.
• Analyze application data and SQL queries to troubleshoot issues.
• Use logs, monitoring tools, and error-tracking platforms to diagnose production problems.
• Refine forms, filters, sorting, error handling, and other user-facing features.
• Identify recurring issues and develop preventive solutions.
• Contribute to code quality, stability, and security improvements.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teammates to prioritize issues and deliver reliable solutions.
• Document investigations and solutions for distributed teams.
