Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Co. is seeking an experienced SEO Lead to own strategy, execution, and optimization across multiple higher education accounts.

You will guide technical and content optimization, analyze performance, and identify opportunities across SEO, AEO, and GEO while collaborating with Content, Web Development, Analytics, Paid Media, and Account Management teams. This fully remote role targets the US market, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution and a focus on AI-driven

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO, ideally across multiple sites.
• Proven ability to uncover high-impact issues and drive fixes.
• Strong knowledge of SEO tools (GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/Semrush).
• Deep understanding of WordPress themes/plugins, redirects and schema.
• Hands-on experience with Claude and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO, AEO, and GEO strategies across multiple higher education partner accounts.
• Build SEO roadmaps aligned with enrollment goals and business objectives.
• Conduct keyword, topic, competitor, entity, and search intent research.
• Lead technical SEO initiatives including site audits, crawl analysis, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and internal linking.
• Collaborate with Web Development to implement technical SEO improvements.
• Optimize website content, landing pages, and hubs for search visibility and user experience.
• Identify content gaps to strengthen topical authority across the student journey.
• Monitor rankings, traffic, conversions, and other SEO KPIs; deliver insights.
• Own monthly SEO reporting and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
• Stay current on search algorithm updates and AI search advancements.
• Evaluate emerging search technologies and AI tools to improve workflows.
