Job summary

HireHawk Inc. is seeking a full-time remote video editor to turn 20-minute conversational recordings into polished short-form videos for Instagram and Facebook.

You’ll work closely with the founder, handling post-production without a dedicated creative team, delivering 3–4 finished videos per day while maintaining each client’s voice. Expect to leverage CapCut with captions and pacing, preserve messaging, and adapt to 4–6 clients.

Qualifications

• Portfolio includes Instagram Reels and talking-head content (founder/exec, etc).
• 3–5 years editing experience; 2+ years in social content; exceptional portfolio encouraged.
• CapCut proficiency with captions, pacing, framing, B-roll, punch-ins, basic audio cleanup, finishing.
• Strong short-form storytelling instincts and ability to keep a message authentic.
• Excellent English comprehension and communication; understand conversational nuance.
• Demonstrated initiative and independence; manage edits and deadlines with minimal direction.
• Comfort working directly with a founder; available Monday–Friday CT.

Responsibilities

• Turn conversational footage into focused short-form stories with hooks and clear structure.
• Identify strongest moments using the founder’s guidance to craft a complete narrative.
• Preserve client voice, personality, and meaning while removing repetition and distractions.
• Add captions, framing, B-roll, punch-ins, and supporting visuals when they improve clarity.
• Deliver clean audio and platform-ready videos; check subtitles and overall flow.
• Keep 4–6 clients organized; aim for 3–4 completed videos per day.
• Adapt editing style per client; take initiative and flag unclear messaging early.
• Respond constructively to feedback; work Monday–Friday on Central Time.
