Bitfinex is seeking a Transaction Monitoring Investigator to safeguard the platform by identifying and mitigating financial crime risks across fiat and crypto transactions. You will analyze alerts, investigate unusual activity, and work with AML Investigators and Compliance leadership to ensure timely escalation and robust monitoring controls.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for cryptocurrency within a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the compliance field within the industry.
• Understanding AML/KYC/CTF policies, laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of blockchain technology; CAMS/CBP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop transaction monitoring algorithms to detect AML/TF/Sanctions risks.
• Analyze alerts from the monitoring system for fiat and crypto trades.
• Prepare periodic reports for the Chief Compliance Officer and Product Managers.
• Collaborate with AML Investigators and Product teams.
• Stay current with KYC/AML/CTF and Sanctions requirements.
• Escalate high-risk cases promptly.
• Assist in regulatory reporting and process improvements.
