Compass International Holdings is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, build, and deploy production services using Java and Spring Boot, while migrating legacy Node.js/TypeScript code to a modern JVM stack.

You will work in a remote, international team with AWS serverless patterns, PostgreSQL and RDBMS fundamentals, and explore AI-assisted development tools to improve quality and velocity.

Formación

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Hands-on production services with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience migrating Node.js/TypeScript to Java for legacy modernization.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and deploy robust production backend services in Java/Spring Boot.
• Own legacy migrations from Node.js/TypeScript to Java.
• Maintain strong testing discipline with unit/integration tests (JUnit).
• Leverage AWS serverless tech (Lambda/ECS/SNS) and event-driven patterns.
• Collaborate on full-stack needs and AI-assisted development workflows.
