Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and automation workflows that power a GTM data platform and AI-assisted sales automation initiatives.

You will develop REST APIs and webhook-based lead routing, integrate with Salesforce APIs, including EVO and Omnichannel, and contribute to AI-driven features using Java or Python within an Agile sprint environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software or backend engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems involving databases, APIs, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Take full ownership of features and services throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to monitoring and optimization.
• Build production-ready systems with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency across the platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring code quality and engineering best practices.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to key technical decisions as the company scales.
• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
