Job summary

Mercor is hiring a senior full‑stack engineer to join a remote product studio that builds MVPs and live workflow software for startups. You’ll own end‑to‑end areas, work on server‑side logic from Azure SQL up through the API, and build React/TypeScript interfaces on top.

AI coding tools draft specs and migrations; you direct them and review every diff. If you prefer writing most code by hand, this may not be the right seat.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years building full‑stack web apps and shipped to production.
• Experience working in a codebase you did not author and learning conventions quickly.
• Hands-on with workflow software featuring roles, approvals, queues or state machines.
• Proficient with React, TypeScript and SQL on Azure, including schema design and migrations.
• Daily use of AI coding tools with tests and CI behind it.
• Clear written and spoken English.
• Experience delivering in fixed‑scope sprints with feature flags.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own end‑to‑end areas (e.g., task engine or migrations) without breaking live features.
• Build and refine server‑side APIs, database schemas and migrations on Azure.
• Create React/TypeScript screens on top of existing systems.
• Review diffs line by line and guide AI tools on merges.
• Collaborate with leadership, the lead developer and the product manager.
