Job summary

Fletcher Jones seeks an RIS Data Migration Engineer to oversee and execute data migration between radiology information systems. You will ensure data integrity, privacy, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with IT, clinical, and admin teams.

Responsibilities include extracting data from legacy RIS, mapping structures, loading master lists, and using ETL tools to prepare data for migration. Collaboration and post-migration support are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, healthcare informatics or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years data migration experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience with RIS, PACS, HIS, and EMR data migration.
• Proficient SQL skills and healthcare data standards.
• Proficiency in C# or Python to enhance migration tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute RIS data migration strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse migration requirements.
• Extract clinical, operational, and administrative data from legacy RIS systems.
• Assess and map legacy data structures (demographics, reports, scans, appointments).
• Load RIS system master lists (physicians, providers, codes, rooms, sites).
• Use ETL tools to clean, transform, and prepare data for migration.
• Provide post-migration support for go-live implementations.
• Document migration methodologies, tools, and reports.
• Train staff on data management in the new RIS system.
• Perform validation and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Prepare detailed post-migration verification reports.
