Tether is hiring a Mobile Engineer to own the Keet Mobile app on iOS and Android, built with React Native and Expo. You will ship end-to-end features for chat, calls, and media, while integrating the P2P core on-device and collaborating with product and design teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with React Native and Expo.
• Experience with Redux and Redux-Saga.
• Proficiency in WebSockets and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of Swift/Kotlin and native build tools is a plus.
• Experience working with a remote team.
• Interest in modernizing mobile or web applications.
• Bonus for work with any P2P frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Keet Mobile for iOS and Android using React Native and Expo.
• Own end-to-end features from UI/UX to P2P core APIs.
• Polish features across chat, voice/video calls, media sharing, device pairing and identity backup.
• Integrate push notifications, camera, biometrics and background tasks on both platforms.
• Profile and optimize performance on real devices, startup time, and network usage.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests and support CI and crash reporting.
• Collaborate with core P2P, design and product teams; review code with high standards.
