Job summary

Tether is seeking a Mobile Engineer to join Keet Mobile on iOS and Android. Keet Mobile uses React Native and Expo, with a P2P core running on the device. You’ll own features end-to-end, from UI to core integration, enabling fast iteration and robust performance.

You'll work with a global remote team on chat, voice/video, and identity features, while collaborating with core P2P, design and product teams. Remote-friendly with strong English communication expected.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with React Native, Redux and Redux-Saga.
• Experience with WebSockets and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of Swift/Kotlin and familiarity with native build tools (Xcode/Android Studio).
• Experience working with a remote team.
• Interested in modernizing and optimizing mobile/web apps.
• Bonus: built something on any P2P framework.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Keet Mobile for iOS and Android using React Native and Expo.
• Own features end to end from UI/UX to P2P core integration.
• Integrate native capabilities such as push notifications, camera, biometrics and background tasks.
• Profile and optimize performance on real devices and across use cases.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests and support CI and crash reporting.
• Collaborate with core P2P, design and product teams and maintain high code quality.
