Sky Systems, Inc. (SkySys) is seeking an experienced QA Engineer for a 100% remote role focusing on data-intensive applications in a Big Data environment. You will perform manual and automated testing, validate ETL processes, and collaborate with Product Owners and distributed teams.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, API test experience, and hands-on scripting in Java or Python. You will develop UI automation, use Jira for defect tracking, and contribute to QA processes and release

Formación

• Experience with manual and automated testing across data-heavy apps.
• Proficiency with SQL and data validation.
• Experience with API testing and test automation frameworks.
• Strong Java and/or Python scripting.
• Familiarity with Jira and test case management.
• Understanding of SDLC, QA, and release processes.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases, scenarios, and test plans.
• Test Big Data and data-intensive applications processing large datasets.
• Validate complex data flows, ETL processes, and data transformations.
• Perform application-level functional, regression, integration, and data validation testing.
• Develop API tests covering requests, responses, authentication, and error handling.
• Write SQL queries for data validation, joins, aggregations, and troubleshooting.
• Develop UI automation scripts using Selenium, Protractor, TestComplete, or similar tools.
• Automate regression testing for ETL jobs and data-intensive applications.
• Use Java and/or Python for test automation.
• Track and manage defects using Jira and work with developers through resolution.
• Review requirements and identify test scenarios.
