Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automation for desktop and mobile apps, while also performing manual testing. You will build and maintain test suites, integrate tests into CI/CD, and drive quality across the SDLC.

You will work with product and engineering teams to ensure robust test coverage, investigate failures, and optimize test data and environments in a fast-paced, remote-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation
• Hands-on manual and exploratory testing
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Playwright for desktop/web; WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile
• Testing Electron and React Native apps on iOS/Android
• Experience using AI tools in QA for AI-powered apps is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts for app functionality
• Manually test software for validation based on defined criteria
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other tests
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior
• Record pass/fail conditions and link to bugs
• Collaborate with product and QA to ensure quality throughout SDLC
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate feedback
• Participate in estimation to improve planning
• Use GitHub to maintain automation repositories and scripts
• Participate in On-Call rotation
