Job summary

Prometeo Talent is recruiting on behalf of a US-based client for a Data Analyst (Machine Learning) to join a global team. You will work with large-scale consumer and retail datasets, turning raw data into actionable metrics and dashboards.

The ideal candidate combines solid SQL and Python skills (pandas), with strong numbers sense and the ability to translate results into clear summaries for stakeholders in English. Open to recent graduates through mid-level analysts, remote from LATAM.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years in Data Analysis, Business Analytics, or similar roles; entry to mid level welcome.
• Advanced English (written and spoken).
• Foundational to intermediate SQL skills with JOINs, aggregations, and CASE WHEN.
• Python scripting for data cleaning and processing; proficiency in pandas.
• Familiarity with scikit-learn or statsmodels for predictive/modeling tasks.
• Experience handling messy text fields and pattern matching.
• Solid understanding of relational database design and data normalization.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related quantitative field with coursework in databases or data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and run SQL queries to extract data from databases and data warehouses.
• Develop, run, and validate machine learning or statistical models to forecast trends.
• Slice and aggregate data to compute core metrics like market share and purchasing trends.
• Build and maintain clean data tables and views for dashboards.
• Review outputs and perform data audits to ensure accuracy.
• Segment data and isolate cohorts using conditional logic.
• Parse and categorize unstructured text data.
• Translate technical results into clear summaries for English-speaking stakeholders.
