Job summary

Bionic Talent is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a US-based personal injury law firm with day-to-day accounting, settlements, and liens in a fully remote role. You will manage settlements through final disbursement and maintain accurate bookkeeping across cases.

Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with liens, medical payoffs, and AI tools such as Claude.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial coordination experience.
• Experience with legal settlements, liens, medical payoffs, or personal injury law firms.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial recordkeeping.
• Ability to work remotely with strict deadlines.
• Strong written English and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage settlement through final disbursement and closing statements.
• Verify liens, payoffs, and client disbursement amounts.
• Prepare wire templates and ensure proper disbursement documentation.
• Send lien verification requests and maintain payoff records.
• Process invoices, reconcile accounts, and track staff expenses.
