Encora Inc. is hiring a Lead Data Engineer to lead a data engineering team and own end-to-end data platform architecture.

The role focuses on scalable pipelines, data models, and migrations from Snowflake/SSIS to Azure Databricks and DBT, with a strong emphasis on CI/CD and Terraform-based infrastructure. The position is remote with multi-country work scope in Latin America, offering leadership responsibilities, hands-on technical delivery, and collaboration with product and business

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Data Engineering experience with 2–3 years in Lead/Staff role.
• Proven ownership of system design for large-scale data platforms.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake, Azure Databricks, DBT, Python, and advanced SQL.
• Experience with thousands of DBT models and terabytes processed daily.
• Deep knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, distributed data systems, and ETL/ELT.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, setting technical direction and driving engineering excellence.
• Own end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of scalable data platforms and pipelines.
• Define and lead data migration strategies from Snowflake/SSIS to Azure Databricks and DBT; ensure quality and observability.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CI/CD adoption, and collaboration with stakeholders.
